Located in the heart of the Périgord Noir, Camping Le Garrit*** will allow you to visit the Dordogne easily. Our geographical location is indeed one of our main advantages to fully enjoy your stay in the Dordogne. The charming medieval town of Saint-Cyprien is only a few minutes away from the campsite.
But that's not all. The Périgord Noir is full of beautiful places. For example, take the castle route and visit the medieval fortresses. Castelnaud and Beynac are among the most beautiful villages in France.
You can also visit the Lascaux cave, which is only thirty kilometres from the campsite. There you can admire frescoes dating from the Palaeolithic period, which are known throughout the world, and take an incredible trip back in time.

Pleasure of the taste buds

The Dordogne is also synonymous with gastronomy. Foie gras, black truffles and walnuts are the stars of the many gourmet markets. There are many in the region, such as the market in our village on Thursday evenings.

This will be an opportunity for you to taste the specialities of the South-West and the department. Perhaps during a weekend in the Dordogne or during your holiday at the campsite. Périgourdine salad, truffle omelette, Périgord duck confit, garlic tourin, walnut tart, duck breast and others will delight you.

Pleasure of the body

There are many rivers and streams adjacent to the campsite. You can swim, canoe, kayak or go angling in them. Choose from the Dordogne, the Céou or the Vézère.

The Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park, just a few kilometres from the campsite, is ideal for hiking or horse riding with family or friends and offers a magnificent outdoor setting.

Let's not forget the forests in the vicinity where you can practice accrobranche (tree climbing) or run in the numerous health courses of the department. These sites will prove to you, if it were necessary, that visiting historical monuments or natural sites in the Dordogne is an enchantment for all.
