Camping in Dordogne Le Garrit or further afield
You can swim in the river Dordogne, which flows peacefully past the campsite, and also in the swimming pool on the bank.
Between the swimming pool and the river, petanque players can enjoy their favourite sport in a magnificent setting.
The river is also an ideal place for fishermen, you will need a permit and the fish may be caught.
The Dordogne but also the Vézère for this time the canoe, you should not miss these descents, the setting is splendid.
For those who like to walk, we can show you the paths that start from our campsite in the Dordogne. You can choose to walk or cycle for your walks. My husband, a hot air balloon pilot, now travels by bike, he offers you the possibility to rent electric bikes.

Around Saint Cyprien on the Dordogne valley
To the east, Sarlat, the capital of the Périgord Noir, this beautiful medieval city, can be reached by train if you wish, no more parking worries.
In the north, the Vézère valley, prehistory enthusiasts will be delighted. Numerous sites and caves, including Lascaux, Font de Gaume and the village of La Madeleine will enchant you.
To the south, you will admire the beautiful bastides, Monpazier, Villefranche-du-Périgord, Belvès.
To the west you will find on the Bergerac road, of course wine but not only. There is also Le Buisson de Cadouin, Grottes et Gouffre and the pretty village of Limeuil at the confluence of the Dordogne and the Vézère.
